Enjoying Ciwidey

Complete is one word for Bandung. It's urban city yet natural one. We can easily find restaurant with good taste and cheaper price (than Jakarta). Bandung has many stories for me personally. The dream, love, project, etc. Last week I went to Bandung for quality time with my friends.

Licu is my travel mate in Phuket. She lives in Bandung nowadays. We stayed in her spacious house for a night. We arrived around 8 p.m. Beside some of my mates whom I already knew. I had many new friends, Apri, Khell and Ocin (I've met Ocin before just for a few minutes).

We had dinner in Eat Boss. It is located in Dago. The price is quite cheap. I ordered Chicken Cordon Blue (IDR 33.000), Big Passion Apple Tea (IDR 15.000) and Pizza half meter (IDR 50.000). I was so full. I need to take extra effort to finish all of meals. I really love the big apple tea. The size is literally big.

In the next day, we went to Ranca Upas. I was so excited because this place is so famous for prewedding photoshoot. There is much deer. I just found that my expectation was quite high. When I was there, I didn't found any special spot. Maybe, because it was raining and I didn't explore that much. However, it was still special because I have friend who I can take the photographs.

We continued to Kawah Putih. I didn't really excited because I have been there a few years ago. Moreover I expected the spot was so overcrowded. Yes it was crowded. Nonetheless, we still have great pictures there. Thank god for the foggy weather. I really love the smoke. It covered the green look of the lake. And hopla, it looks like in switzerland. Woza cafe is our choice to spend our lunch time. Again, the price is affordable. I forget the detail, but it's still cheaper than it looks (considering the place). I ate nasi timbal and woza tea. The taste is 6/10. The interior is designed that we feels in the zoo. They use tiger and zebra pattern at the chair. We took some pictures there and Apri, Khell and Ocin directly backed to Jakarta while the rest of us backed to Licu's house.

Taking a rest, having conversation with Licu's family, having dinner and finally we had to back to Jakarta. Before going to Jakarta, we stopped at Mama Eha. Zainal was having high desire to go there. I just order teh tarik and the service was so slow.

Eventually we arrived in Jakarta at 2 a.m and we still had to wake up early because we needed to go to the office. Thank you guys for this very short gateaway and thanks for being my model :)

Dream Project in Bandung

Doing what I love is my current job. Like previous month, I join LINKERS team as a contributor. We explored Bandung for several days. Basically, what we did are taking pictures of cafe, restaurants, food, art spaces, etc, We had been provided by nice hotel, car & driver, and also budget to try the food. Sounds like dream job, isn't it?

In the first day, Pew and I explored Pasar Jatayu, Wild Grass, Hummingbird, Imah Babaturan, and Miss Bee. Pasar Jatayu is place where you can get second-hand stuff, motorcycle spare part, vintage items, etc. Wild grass is the new new restaurant where I really like its homemade burger and also the drinks. Truly recommended. Hummingbird is just so so. Imah Babaturan is still memorable for me. The cheap price and the concept are great aspects. Last, I tried the Pizza in Ms. Bee. I don't know whether I was too hungry or the food is delicious, I just remember that I enjoyed that night.

In the second day, I moved from Blue Doors, then Kopi Armor, Day & Nite, and Hartwood. Blue doors is my most favorite coffee shop comparing to the others. The place, the coffee, the snacks are just fit to me. Kopi Armor is the best for the place. If you want to enjoy the coffee with fresh air, Kopi Armor is good option. We just had lunch in Day & Nite and don't really enjoy the food at all. The "Sapi Lada Hitam" is very poor. The rice is still uncooked well, I guess. Last, I don't really remember the outstanding thing in Hartwood, it just run ordinarily. Oh ya, I forget that I also went to Pasar Palasari where the books are everywhere. Interesting place.

In the third day, I did the photojournalism with Kang Ivan. We went to Factory Outlet in Jl. Riau and Jl. Dago, had lunch in Lawang Wangi then had dinner in Mouton. We also stopped by Roti Sidoadi and Kopi Purnama for a while. Nothing special with Jl. Dago and Riau. Lawang wangi successfully made my day. The place is artsy and cozy. The food is just good, not great. Mouton is great place to spent with our partner, family or friends. The festival concept and grilling its meat together will give us remarkable experience.

In the fourth days, before back to Jakarta, I went to Nanny's Pavilion and Padma Hotel. I love the Nanny's food. I tried the ice cream with hot chocolate and other desserts, I forget the name. In Padma, I just accompanied Mba Sasha, our chief editor to take pictures of food in Padma Restaurant.

I don't know because I did passionate job in Bandung or Bandung itself is so lovable. I just enjoy this trip. Bandung made me want to stay there for longer period. Thank you Mba Sasha, Kang Ivan, Pew and Mba Vita for including me in this team :D

Short Getaway to Bandung

A few weeks ago, my friends and I went to Bandung. We stayed in Licu's house. Our main purposes were going to entrepreneurship event which held by Bank Indonesia and gave surprise to Licu's mom.

Hamzah, Zainal, Ziyad and I headed to Bandung using Hamzah's car. We arrived at Licu's House around 1 or 2 a.m. The people already slept. Caused by zainal and ziyad who already know well with Licu's family even security and maid, we can enter the home and we continue to sleep.

In the first day, we started the day by Karaoke in Licu's house. She has it. Then started from afternoon, we went to Bank Indonesia Building in Bandung. Thank god we have great treatment. We also have been served by many meals. In the evening, we went to Paris Van Java to enjoy the night. It's hard to describe, just pictures describe more.

When arrived at house, we prepared the room and some stuff. Then Licu played her role and voile her mom was getting shocked by our surprise. You can see the surprise party through these pictures :)

In the next days, we would back to Jakarta. We finished our last trip in Maja House. I just have heard about the name before but didn't know what's that? and how does it look like? We had lunch there but sorry to say the service was so long and the food not really delicious. We also capture some moments there and back to Jakarta.

Bandung is always good idea ;)
