[Review] AADC 2 Feels So Inorganic

The sequel of AADC is the movie which finally increases the excitement of audience to watch Indonesian movie. I am the one of the excited fans who waited for this movie. However, the excitement was over until watching the film. There is no post-watching syndrome or whatever which really makes me want to put this movie as favourite list.

When I see the first scene, I was wondering "what happened with the cast?". Cinta, Milly, Maura and Karmen who having strong character in the first movie, just feel like losing their ability to act in front of camera. I don't know why, but the act doesn't seem sincerely. What I feel is that they try to be the character after the director say "Action". I didn't found Cinta, Milly, Maura and Karmen. I just see Dian Sastro who pretends to be Cinta, Sissy Priscillia who pretends to be Milly and same thing happens with Titi Kamal and Adinia Wirasti. However, Milly worth to be appreciated because she is the only one who at least being the best between the others. As the film rolls, Milly seems like more natural.

AADC has many memorable scenes, dialogs which can easily being recalled. In this sequel, I found that they tried to connect the audience with the first movie. For instance when Rangga and Cinta were getting time together and finally Cinta realized that she has appointment with her gang. The filmmaker tried to give us the same story or treatment with previous one. Nevertheless, it didn't feel the same, even worse.

This movie has 124 minutes to give best impression to the audience, but I didn't get any of it. The story is going nowhere. There are a lot of information which isn't well-tailored. The component of story was put in the film without strong cause-and-effect relation. This movie should worth to have more unexpected story. I still don't understand why there are a lot of overused story. The ex couple who are not seeing each other in the same place, the woman who get jealously by the man due to misunderstanding when the man being hug by another reason. Those are just too FTV for me.

The one who worth to be appreciated is the location manager or whoever that finds the beautiful villa in Jogja and the others relaxing sceneries. Another thing is puppet performance. I think that scene is the best scene for me personally.

Overall, this movie is too inorganic for me. Everything feels trying-to-be-filmic, doesn't feel natural. In spite of my comments, I do encourage all of you to watch the film as soon as possible. Because everybody has their unique point of view. Let's support Indonesian Movie by watching it in the theatre.

Being kribo, corn row or whatever looks so cool. However, it was just right time to have a haircut due to new phase of my life (no, just kidding hehe)

I want to save the moment when hairstylist cut my authentic hair.

Arab (Otista) Next Top Model

I had a plan to do photoshot before I have a haircut. When I showed my hair to my photographer mate, Coky, he directly asked me for being his model. Pleasantly, I confirmed his request with a Yes. It's not because I want to be a model, narcissism, or whatever. Simply I want to collect my legendary hairstyle with great photo quality.

These are the picture which taken by Coky.

Moreover, before I went to photoshot with Coky I met up with my mate Bella to discuss about technical thing regarding my next prewedding project. Instead of getting the way that I really want to know about, she captured some picture of me. I just want to say thanks to her as well.

This hairstlye wasn't long-lasting. Yes, that seems so cool but you will miss the way you wash and rub your hair conventionally.

First Time of Nyalon

I never think coming to Salon for taking care of my hair. But I need to do to achieve one of my life goals which I really want to since I was in college. Have you ever heard about corn row? Ya, the common hairstyle which be used for black people. If you watch Karate Kid, ya I was inspired by Jaden Smith. It was my second time having long and "Kribo" hair. I directly cut my hair in my first Kribo phase and I don't want to repeat it again. Therefore, I couraged myself to explore my hair without thinking that much about what will people comment, especially my family or older people.

I did it in Cyber Hair Salon in Kebayoran. If you googling "corn rown salon jakarta", Cyber Hair will be the most recommended salon. I went there by myself and explained to the hairstylist what I want to be aaaaaand, I got my corn row hair. Finally!!!!! :D

Oh ya, one info, I need to pay IDR 210.000 for making that hair. Worth it.

hahaha she shocked looking my hair

Dream Project in Bandung

Doing what I love is my current job. Like previous month, I join LINKERS team as a contributor. We explored Bandung for several days. Basically, what we did are taking pictures of cafe, restaurants, food, art spaces, etc, We had been provided by nice hotel, car & driver, and also budget to try the food. Sounds like dream job, isn't it?

In the first day, Pew and I explored Pasar Jatayu, Wild Grass, Hummingbird, Imah Babaturan, and Miss Bee. Pasar Jatayu is place where you can get second-hand stuff, motorcycle spare part, vintage items, etc. Wild grass is the new new restaurant where I really like its homemade burger and also the drinks. Truly recommended. Hummingbird is just so so. Imah Babaturan is still memorable for me. The cheap price and the concept are great aspects. Last, I tried the Pizza in Ms. Bee. I don't know whether I was too hungry or the food is delicious, I just remember that I enjoyed that night.

In the second day, I moved from Blue Doors, then Kopi Armor, Day & Nite, and Hartwood. Blue doors is my most favorite coffee shop comparing to the others. The place, the coffee, the snacks are just fit to me. Kopi Armor is the best for the place. If you want to enjoy the coffee with fresh air, Kopi Armor is good option. We just had lunch in Day & Nite and don't really enjoy the food at all. The "Sapi Lada Hitam" is very poor. The rice is still uncooked well, I guess. Last, I don't really remember the outstanding thing in Hartwood, it just run ordinarily. Oh ya, I forget that I also went to Pasar Palasari where the books are everywhere. Interesting place.

In the third day, I did the photojournalism with Kang Ivan. We went to Factory Outlet in Jl. Riau and Jl. Dago, had lunch in Lawang Wangi then had dinner in Mouton. We also stopped by Roti Sidoadi and Kopi Purnama for a while. Nothing special with Jl. Dago and Riau. Lawang wangi successfully made my day. The place is artsy and cozy. The food is just good, not great. Mouton is great place to spent with our partner, family or friends. The festival concept and grilling its meat together will give us remarkable experience.

In the fourth days, before back to Jakarta, I went to Nanny's Pavilion and Padma Hotel. I love the Nanny's food. I tried the ice cream with hot chocolate and other desserts, I forget the name. In Padma, I just accompanied Mba Sasha, our chief editor to take pictures of food in Padma Restaurant.

I don't know because I did passionate job in Bandung or Bandung itself is so lovable. I just enjoy this trip. Bandung made me want to stay there for longer period. Thank you Mba Sasha, Kang Ivan, Pew and Mba Vita for including me in this team :D
