Wedding of Dhania & Abi

This year, I got the full package of wedding project. Full package means I do not only capture of the wedding day but also photograph the engagement day and prewedding. The wedding day is our last series for this package. I would say this project so enjoyable comparing other wedding projects. I just feel that everything was easier and everything goes well. Our client, Dhania and Abi was so cooperative though they still give us positive and constructive comments.

I would say thank to Bella and Joshua as the videographer, Rizky as the video editor and Yudha as the second photographer. Finally it's a wrap! :)

Prewedding Star Wars

Prewedding photoshoot is not the new thing for me. I shot some prewedding pictures since a few years ago. However this prewedding is quite special. The reasons are that the groom (Tezar) is bestfriend of mine and the couple is so cool. Both of them love star wars. I recommended some of concept and we did the photoshoot.

Eid Day 1437 H

What is the meaning of Eid Day for you? Is it new clothes? Is it family gathering? Is it cookies time? Lebaran should be interesting because we gather with our big family. However, I don't know why, as the time goes by, I'm not really interesting with Eid Day. A few years ago, we still visit many numbers of family. This years, the number of family, uncle, auntie who need to be visited is decreasing.

Anyway, unlike the previous year, I print the Eid Greeting Card and send to my mates through post office. This year, I distribute the e-card through WhatsApp, LINE and other messengers. Some of my mates commented about this card. And this is my e-card for Eid this year.

Birthday Surprise of My Silver Year

Most people said 25 is our silver year. I face the phase when I need to be more mature logically and emotionally. This year, thank god I have many good friends who gave more attention for me in my 25 birthday. The two surprise wasn't actually in the June 27th, but in a few days later.

Dinda and Dera asked me to have a K Organizer meeting. Honestly I expect surprise will happen, because templately, we will have a meeting after one of us birthday and we make a surprise. It was as shocking as the past years, but it still made me happy. The weren't only Dinda and Dera, but Sandy and Qbill as my close friend came as well. I would say to Dinda, Dera and Desi who gave me great bag. Finally I had it :)

A few days later, Ziyad, Zainal, Reza and Hamzah gathered in Grand Indonesia. We usually do this kind of thing to support and motivate each other. We share our current updates and our future goals. When we want to back to Home, some of them already ordered a cake in Colette Lola. Thank god for all of this good things.

Do you know whay Malika Black means? It means black soybeans. Because I'm black -__-

Expression in Breakfasting

In Ramadhan month, there are absolutely breaking the fast invitation. This year, I didn't attend many this kinda gathering time. I just attend one or two breakfasting's event. The memorable one is breaking the fast with my fellow engineers.

Ajeng and Adit bought new apartment and some of us were invited to "open house". We went there and consolidate ourselves. I thought that was great time to capture some of their expression. That's why I brought my camera :D

Engagement of Ajeng & Adit

Ajeng and Adit are good friends of mine. We were in same engineering company and same batch. Moreover, I have knew Ajeng since we were in college. A month ago they held their engagement. Ajeng asked me becoming their photographer in their engagement day. I always happy capturing my friend's special moment.

[Review] AADC 2 Feels So Inorganic

The sequel of AADC is the movie which finally increases the excitement of audience to watch Indonesian movie. I am the one of the excited fans who waited for this movie. However, the excitement was over until watching the film. There is no post-watching syndrome or whatever which really makes me want to put this movie as favourite list.

When I see the first scene, I was wondering "what happened with the cast?". Cinta, Milly, Maura and Karmen who having strong character in the first movie, just feel like losing their ability to act in front of camera. I don't know why, but the act doesn't seem sincerely. What I feel is that they try to be the character after the director say "Action". I didn't found Cinta, Milly, Maura and Karmen. I just see Dian Sastro who pretends to be Cinta, Sissy Priscillia who pretends to be Milly and same thing happens with Titi Kamal and Adinia Wirasti. However, Milly worth to be appreciated because she is the only one who at least being the best between the others. As the film rolls, Milly seems like more natural.

AADC has many memorable scenes, dialogs which can easily being recalled. In this sequel, I found that they tried to connect the audience with the first movie. For instance when Rangga and Cinta were getting time together and finally Cinta realized that she has appointment with her gang. The filmmaker tried to give us the same story or treatment with previous one. Nevertheless, it didn't feel the same, even worse.

This movie has 124 minutes to give best impression to the audience, but I didn't get any of it. The story is going nowhere. There are a lot of information which isn't well-tailored. The component of story was put in the film without strong cause-and-effect relation. This movie should worth to have more unexpected story. I still don't understand why there are a lot of overused story. The ex couple who are not seeing each other in the same place, the woman who get jealously by the man due to misunderstanding when the man being hug by another reason. Those are just too FTV for me.

The one who worth to be appreciated is the location manager or whoever that finds the beautiful villa in Jogja and the others relaxing sceneries. Another thing is puppet performance. I think that scene is the best scene for me personally.

Overall, this movie is too inorganic for me. Everything feels trying-to-be-filmic, doesn't feel natural. In spite of my comments, I do encourage all of you to watch the film as soon as possible. Because everybody has their unique point of view. Let's support Indonesian Movie by watching it in the theatre.
